Bongani Fairy-doll

BONGANI, meaning to be thankful in Xhosa, is the name for this dark skinned South African Hanging Doll with hand stitched embroidered facial features on brown velvet fabric.
Her long dark hair has braiding and her clothes are handmade with original Three Cats Shweshwe fabric which is known as a traditional fashion fabric, used by African women over many centuries, when they dress up for an important occasion. This doll's dress is also decorated with African beads.
