Audrey Fairy-doll

AUDREY, meaning Noble Strength, is the name for this Cape Colored South African hanging doll. This is also the name of the artist who creates all the hanging dolls in our collection. She is a very talented lady and part of our Colored community in Wellington.
This doll is decorated with hand stitched embroidered facial features on a brown velvet skin.
The dress is handmade with 100% natural rusty-colored hemp fabric and decorated with crochet and glass beads.
She has beautiful long auburn color salon hair, seeing that the colored girls favor this hair color.
Her arms and legs are decorated with wooden beads.
