Western Cape herbal ice tea

Lidi Ada Naturals added “Herbal Products” as a healthy new category to their website

Growing naturally in the Western Cape region of South Africa, Buchu- and Cancer bush tea are both known as traditional herbal medicine to support the body’s immune system and fight against inflammation.

How do you go about drinking these healthy herbs? Simmer dried Buchu leaves on a very low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Try to have as little as possible evaporation, since the oil glands under the leaves hold all the medicinal value. Cool down, add a dash of honey and leave in you fridge as a healthy, minty, ice tea. To drink the Cancer bush tea, you need to simmer the milled stems and leaves for 20 minutes to half an hour (the longer, the stronger). Do not add any sweetener or honey since this tea is already bitter-sweet. Leave in the fridge to drink icy-cold. It is not an easy drinking tea, but you need only a small glass of this daily to strengthen your immune system.

Prevention is better than cure……..Just as food causes chronic disease, it can be the most powerful cure…..
